HELLO, MIAMI
I’m sure all of you along with the entire world was plastered in front of your TV set waiting patiently as Lebron answered all the questions being thrown at him. About 6 minutes into the interview ‘Bron dropped the bomb on Cleveland and announced he will be rockin’ a HEAT jersey next year. Sucks real bad for Cleveland, I’ll be surprised if they sell out one game next year ( wait, I’m sure they will sell out when the King pays them a visit ). Being that we’re always on top of things, we decided to get to work on some concepts for tees…here’s a few of ‘em for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy. Today’s daily fresh goes out to crazy a$$ Simon Rex A.K.A. Dirt Nasty. Y’all remember him ( or maybe not ) from his days at MTV. Looks like he’s somewhat of a rapper now. Crazy what MTV can do for you. Alchemist laced him with a fat a$$ beat reminiscent of some old school Sir-Mix-A-lot or Kid Sensation ( google him ).

Seen these joints this morning and all I gotta say is these babies are ill. Too bad Brazil got kicked out of the world cup. They should have brought Ronaldinho…what where they thinking? Joga Bonito wasn’t all that beautiful but at least these Hypefuse’s are. Gotta cop em along with a old school Ronaldo jersey.

SIN CITY
MAGIC is a short month and a half away and as we prepare for our biggest show to date ( close to 200 designs ), we’d like to give you a sneak peek of a piece we’re doing for the event. These will be super limited and will probably only be given out to buyers who drop by our booth and cop our gear. PENSOLE ACADEMY
We all dream. Some are more exaggerated than others. Today I’d like to shout out my boy D’Wayne Edwards. I’ve known D’Wayne for time now, and everytime I’ve talked to him, he’s always mentioned to me that his dream was to one day have his own footwear design academy. Well the time has arrived. You see, D’Wayne Edwards is the footwear design director over at NIKE’s Jordan brand. Yeah, the main dude. You may be thinking…why in the hell would he want to do something else if he’s got the dopest gig in the world? Is he crazy? He has Jordans you aint never seen ( and probably wont ). He rocks J’s way before they drop. He travels the world. He gets to meet with MJ himself and all of the JB sponsored athletes. Is this guy crazy? maybe. But he also had a dream and a calling. D’Wayne recently hooked up with the University of Oregon to offer a very limited, fully paid tuition and housing, hands on, 2 week footwear design course to aspiring designers. This is something he didnt have growing up so it was something he had to accomplish. We were lucky enough to hook up with him and do a limited run of PENSOLE tees for his students and staff. The course is currently happening but check www.counterkicks.com daily as one of the students is covering/documenting the experience.
